Stanley's Casino - Overview

Phelan are proud to be associated with Stanley Leisure Ltd, rolling out their updated Casino brands: Circus, Mint and Maxims across an expanding portfolio of 46 units nationwide.  Beginning in 2004, Phelan have now successfully undertaken a number of refurbishment projects, all negotiated from an initial competitive tender based upon a Schedule of Rates.  Phelan have expertise and understanding of Stanley’s key requirements along with those of the Casino industry and can adapt to the needs of their business when providing construction services.

During refurbishment, all of the Casino’s remain open and trading, with Phelan phasing the works around the Operator’s requirements whilst maintaining the highest levels of public safety and security.

Extensive mechanical, electrical and IT services need to be integrated into the build package, along with Stanley’s gaming tables, AWP machines, CCTV and security measures throughout every unit.  As you might expect, high quality finishes are incorporated into every project, with use of imported marbles, ceramics, hardwood panelling and feature lighting to create the right ambience for gaming.

• Midland Wheel Edgbaston - £ 750K
• Reading (The Sporting Club) - £660K

The following sites are entirely new units with fitting out by Phelan:-

• Stoke (Hanley) - £2m
• Liverpool (Queens Square) - £2m
• Nottingham - £2.1m
• Edinburgh (Fountain Park)- £2m
• Plymouth - £2m

A typical site duration is 16 weeks and with repetitive branding, Phelan are able to respond quickly to Stanley’s needs concerning reduced lead-times and programmes, minimising the disruption to operating units.
