Retail Fit Out Warehouse, Cambridge Retail Park

This challenging construction & fit out project involved extensive remedial measures to the land prior to construction commencing. This site was formerly a licensed landfill tip, therefore all soil was contaminated and the construction & fitout process required membranes, vent pipework and a gas monitoring systems to be installed. This was to protect future building occupants and the public at large.

The warehouse was formed using a 7.2m steel portal frame with over 10000 ft of uninterrupted floor space. Over £300,000 of external works, including a large 63 space car park was undertaken using Formpave permeable blocks with water attenuation and storage on site.

The building and fit out was completed on time and ready for occupation by incoming tenants, SCS Upholstery Limited.
