This project involved the complete strip out of the existing “Venue” club concept and a complete internal refurbishment of two clubs to form Liquid and Envy. Nightclub interior design is a process that Phelans are very familiar with; as many Liquid nightclubs have been fully refurbished by Phelans throughout the UK. See previous projects.
Liquid is the current successful dance brand from Luminar, with Envy being the club for a more sophisticated and older clientele.
The existing mezzanine floors were cut back and altered to form a new first floor VIP area with associated toilets.
Extensive finishes were involved in the scheme with the use of Corian solid surfacing, Lacobel black glass, mirror tiles and ceramics. No surface is straight in Liquid and so yet again, attention to detail is critical when forming the seamless lines that are demanded and expected by this most discerning of clients.
However, the piece de resistance is without doubt the floating seat pods in Liquid, which appear to be suspended in mid-air, curving in every conceivable plane of geometry to form a VIP viewing gallery and seating area.
