The £4.4m Piran Meadows Resort and Spa project which Phelan Construction completed in June 2014 has been nominated for the South West regions “Best Small Commercial Building” in the regional London Authorities Building Control awards. The award ceremony is due to take place on 12th June and if the project wins the category then the scheme will pass through to the national awards which take place later in the year.
Phelan Construction’s Nicholas Koliardos who was the contract manager on the project said;
“After battling against severe weather conditions we were so pleased to complete the project on schedule and to such a high standard. It is very rewarding to receive this recognition from the LABC and fingers crossed we win the award.”
The high-quality resort was the first of several schemes that the operator Darwin intends to open across the UK and Phelan Construction have already been called upon to deliver the same quality at the next two locations in Bath and Hawkchurch.
