After fending off stiff competition Phelan Construction have now been awarded the first phase of the redevelopment of Gallions Reach Shopping Park in Beckton. The site is owned by Standard Life Investments and the redevelopment of the site should serve to give the retail park a new lease of life.
The first phase involved the refreshing of the car park, pavements and landscaping in the external areas and has a value of £1.8m. Subsequent phases should follow on to the retail units themselves after phase 1 is complete and Phelan Construction shall, of course, be bidding on the latter stages of the project.
